Stephen Molumphy has called time on his tenure as Kerry hurling manager.

The army officer stepped down after three years in charge after being assigned to a new role at the EU military headquarters in Brussels where he will be joined by his wife Niamh and three children for 12 months.

The former Waterford star signed off with a 3-13 to 1-10 victory over 14-man Meath in the last round of the Joe McDonagh Cup at Austin Stack Park last Saturday, having led the Kingdom to a final appearance in 2022.
