A robotic lawnmower made an impromptu appearance during a ladies football match in Roscommon last weekend.
There were only two minutes elapsed in the Connacht Intermediate Championship game between Roscommon and Sligo when ‘Larry to Lawnmower’ invaded the pitch at Ardcarne Park in Cootehall. The play was momentarily halted while the mower was removed from the pitch, much to the amusement of spectators.
“Good ole Larry the Lawnmower coming out to take a bow after all his hard work getting the pitch in shipshape for yesterday evening’s game,” host club St Michael’s joked in a social media post.
It’s the not the first time a robotic mower has interrupted a GAA game and certainly won’t be the last!
TweetFeel like I've seen a fair share of things at GAA matches but seeing this happen and cause a brief stoppage in a game last night was a first pic.twitter.com/K2v03t7AxZ
