Kilkenny marksman TJ Reid has been ruled out of this evening’s Allianz Hurling League Division 1 final against Clare at Semple Stadium (7.15pm).
Cats boss Derek Lyng confirmed to RTE Sport before throw-in at the Thurles venue that the Ballyhale Shamrocks clubman suffered a hamstring injury in training on Thursday night and therefore will play no part against the Banner men.
The Leinster champions have opted to start Billy Drennan at full-forward in place of the 36-year-old.
