Limerick football boss Jimmy Lee says “morale is not bad” in the camp ahead of his team’s Munster SFC quarter-final against Cork on Sunday (2pm).

The Treaty men lost all seven of their Allianz League outings, which resulted in relegation back to Division 4 last month, but Lee says there are some positive signs for the group with a couple of younger players integrated and scoring forwards like Danny Neville and Bryan Nix back in the pack ahead of the Pairc Ui Chaoimh showdown this weekend.

"Losing is never a happy place to be, but there are a few green shoots there," he told RTE Sport. "We have a lot of new lads coming through that have been integrated.

"We're starting poorly in games – that's the biggest thing. We're constantly chasing games, which is the problem.

"I suppose we're inching through things to change stuff. But you can't change everything and throw it all out until you see what's actually wrong with it, so we're trying to inch it forward in that regard."
