Laois earned themselves a home semi-final with Down in Division 2A of the Allianz Hurling League after seeing off Kerry by 4-20 to 1-19 in Portlaoise this afternoon.
Ross King, James Duggan and Mossy Keyes (2) supplied the O’Moore men’s goals as they marched towards a promotion showdown against Down.
The Mourne men ensured their semi berth with a 3-19 to 1-16 victory over Meath in Ballycran, where the holders recovered from an early Jack Walsh goal to bag three of their own via a Daithi Sands hat-trick.
The winners of the Laois-Down clash will advance to the Division 2A decider against Carlow who dropped their first points last night against Kildare (1-16 to 0-15) in Hawkfield.
