Cavan and Sligo will square off for a place in the Allianz Hurling League Division 3A final against Mayo following this afternoon’s results.
The Breffni men were 2-13 to 0-13 winners in their derby clash with Monaghan at Kingspan Breffni, where Brian Fitzgerald and Rian Delaney netted the decisive goals for the hosts.
In Kent Park, Mayo cemented a final place in the competition’s final thanks to a 2-12 to 0-14 victory over Sligo that marks their fifth straight win.
The visitors’ goals came from Joe Burke and Eoin Delaney as they look forward to a decider date against either the Yeats men of Ollie Bellew’s Cavan.
Down at the bottom end, Armagh secured their Division 3A status for next year thanks to a 0-19 to 2-10 win against Louth in Middletown.
