Limerick recorded an emphatic 3-30 to 1-18 victory over Dublin at Croke Park this evening to secure their third consecutive win in Division 1 Group B of the Allianz Hurling League.
First-half goals from Donnacha Ó Dálaigh and Tom Morrissey saw the All-Ireland champions towards a 2-13 to 0-11 lead at the halfway stage at headquarters, with the capital men having left a couple of goal chances of their own behind them.
The second-half saw John Kiely’s charges make a sizzling restart, firing an unanswered 1-3 which included Ó Dálaigh’s second goal of the game and, from there, they simply wouldn’t look back as they inflicted a second defeat of the campaign on their Leinster opponents.

In Thurles, Tipperary came good in the end to see off a spirited battle from Westmeath by 3-25 to 2-21.
Mark Kehoe’s pair of goals late in the first-half sent Tipp towards a 2-12 to 0-10 interval lead, but the visitors would manage to keep in touch in the second-half and even put the heat on them going into injury-time.
David Williams’s goal in the 55th minute would be backed up by the same player netting another major that had the Lake County’s arrears down to four points come the 70th minute.
Two minutes later and Patrick Maher would find the net for the home side to kill off any chance of an upset as Liam Cahill’s men recorded their third win in as many games.
