Galway claimed their first win of this year’s Allianz Football League Division 1 campaign after overcoming Tyrone on a 1-10 to 0-12 scoreline in Omagh this afternoon.
Cathal Sweeney’s goal on 49 minutes proved the pivotal point for the Tribesmen who had trailed by 0-6 to 0-4 at the halfway stage.
Padraic Joyce’s men did get it level within six minutes of the restart before Darragh Canavan and Conall Devlin shot the Red Hands back in front.
Then came this superbly taken goal by Sweeney (watch it below) that turned the tide in favour of the Connacht champions and they were able to kick on for a crucial win.
