Eyebrows were raised yesterday when the venue for Saturday's Br Bosco Cup (Leinster Post Primary Schools 'A' Football Championship) final was announced.

Naas CBS and Coláiste Choilm, Tullamore were expecting the final to be fixed for a location central to both schools, so hence their surprise when Ashbourne was confirmed as the venue yesterday afternoon. Ashbourne is 56km from Naas, while it's almost double that, 104km, from Tullamore.

When the sides met at the semi-final stage in 2022 and '23, Edenderry and Ratheniska were the respective venues. 

Naas are seeking their fifth Br Bosco Cup in six seasons, while it's a first appearance at this stage for Coláiste Choilm.
