The draws for the 2024 Limerick hurling and football championships have been made.
Surprisingly, and much to the dismay of many, the draws were held behind closed doors on Tuesday evening. In recent years, they have been live streamed by Limerick GAA.
In the SHC, Na Piarsaigh, Patrickswell, Doon, Kilmallock, Ahane and Mungret St Paul's are in Group A, with Kildimo-Pallaskenry, Ballybrown, South Liberties, Adare, Monaleen and newly-promoted Dromin-Athlacca in Group B.
In the SFC, holders Newcastle West have been drawn in Group 2 alongside Fr Casey's, Oola, Galtee Gaels, Ballysteen and Kildimo-Pallaskenry. Group 1 is made up of last year’s runners-up Adare, Monaleen, Na Piarsaigh, Ballylanders, St Kieran's and last year’s intermediate champions Mungret St Paul's.
