Carlow and Laois maintain perfect starts in Division 4

Carlow and Laois maintained their 100% starts in Division 4 of the Allianz Football League this evening by recording wins over Waterford and Wexford, respectively.
The Leinster sides both had double margin victories in Round 2, with Niall Carew’s Carlow side clinching a 1-17 to 0-9 win against the Deise men at Netwatch Cullen Park, where Jamie Clarke grabbed the hosts’ goal on the half-hour mark.
Shaun Fitzpatrick netted two minutes before half-time as Laois claimed the points at Chadwicks Wexford Park on a 1-19 to 0-12 scoreline.
Tomorrow sees the other two clashes in the bottom tier taking place, as Leitrim host London in Carrick-on-Shannon (1pm) before Longford welcome Tipperary to Pearse Park (2pm).
