St Joseph’s CBS Nenagh claimed their first Harty Cup crown in dramatic circumstances this afternoon by snatching a 2-16 to 0-20 victory over Ardscoil Rís at Cusack Park, Ennis.
After the sides had been level at the halfway point (1-8 to 0-11), it was the Limerick students that looked to have the title in the bag when substitute Patrick Kearney pushed them two clear in the second minute of injury-time.
However, there was still time for a late scramble in front of goal at the far end and this finish from Andy Hoolan (watch it below) ended up securing the silverware for Nenagh.
