Andy Moran’s Leitrim were comfortable in their opening assignment of this year’s Division 4 campaign as they crushed Waterford with a 2-17 to 1-5 victory at Fraher Field.

Having led 0-7 to 0-2 at the halfway stage, Evan Sweeney’s goal would make the margin between the sides a dozen by the 50th minute and the visitors’ last score of the afternoon would see Riordan O’Rourke hitting the net to round off the emphatic win.

In Ruislip, Wexford took home two early points after overcoming London’s challenge by 1-13 to 1-9.

The Exiles got a goal after 10 minutes through Daniel Clarke, but the Model men still battled towards a 0-9 to 1-5 half-time lead and Eoghan Nolan’s goal on 57 minutes would go a long way towards getting over the line in the English capital.
