Roscommon will take on Galway in the Connacht Football League final after overcoming London by 0-21 to 1-9 at the Connacht GAA Air Dome tonight (Saturday).

The Rossies dominated large portions of the game from the second quarter onwards, as scores from Diarmuid Murtagh and Eoin McCormack saw them open up a six-point margin and it’d be at eight before London grabbed a sorely needed goal through Ciaran McKeon on the half-hour mark.

Shay Rafter (free) and Daniel Clarke added points that saw the difference down to four (0-13 to 1-6) come half-time but, after the turnaround, Davy Burke’s charges moved through the gears again.

Conor Cox’s frees and the points of Murtagh, Enda Smith and Andy Glennon (45) made it an eight-point game with 58 minutes played.

Rafter got a free back for the Exiles but it’d be erased by Glennon before a Cox free closed Roscommon’s account as they now look forward to a date with Tribesmen next Friday evening (7.30) for a shot at some early season silverware.
