Sean O’Shea and Conor Geaney netted a brace of goals each as Kerry breezed past Limerick with a 6-18 to 0-11 victory in Rathkeale this afternoon.
The result marks Jack O’Connor’s men’s second win in as many outings in the McGrath Cup, edging them closer towards the pre-season competition’s final on Friday week, January 19th.
An understrength Kerry side, which were minus the services of captain David Clifford, dominated this one from start to finish, with goals from O’Shea (2) and Geaney rattling the hosts’ net inside the opening 20 minutes.
Geaney and Ronan Buckley added more majors before the break that saw the Munster champions take in an unassailable 5-10 to 0-6 lead at half-time.
O’Connor proceeded to empty his bench from the early stages of the second-half and they’d raise the green flag again within a quarter of an hour of restart.
This time Darragh Roche provided the finishing touch as the Kingdom marched towards a facile 25-point win.
