Kilmacud Crokes are appealing the decision by Dublin CCC to award the county Football League Division 1 title to Ballyboden St Enda’s.

‘Boden were awarded the silverware after their southside rivals were unable to field for last Wednesday night’s in Parnell Park, which was just four days after Crokes defeated Naas at Croke Park to complete a three-in-a-row of Leinster Club SFC titles. It’s understood that Crokes’ appeal is based on the short timeframe between the two finals.

In a statement last Friday, ‘Boden said: "Following the disappointment of the Senior Football Div 1 League Final being called off on Wed, we can confirm the CCC of the Dublin County Board have awarded the game to @BodenGAA.

"On behalf of Adult Football Committee & the wider club we wish to congratulate our Senior Men's Footballers, Kenny Naughton, the management & backroom team on winning the League Title having finished top after a lengthy campaign."
