The delay in playing the London SHC final has led to Mayo champions Tooreen receiving a bye into the Connacht Club IHC final.

The London SHC decider between St Gabriel’s and Brothers Pearse has been postponed twice already as the dispute over the eligibility of a Robert Emmetts player continues to rumble on. Emmetts beat St Gabriel’s in the semi-final, but were thrown out following an objection. The matter is now in the hands of the DRA.

With no new date confirmed yet for the London SHC final and the Connacht Club SHC semi-final fixed for November 18, Connacht Council have now decided to give Tooreen a bye into the final where they will face Ballindereen on November 26.

Every other county final in hurling and football has been completed at this stage.
