Aaron Branagan says the Kilcoo players took little notice of the refereeing controversy that overshadowed their Down SFC final victory over Burren.
Croke Park is carrying out an investigation into the events surrounding the row that saw Paul Faloon replaced as referee by Brian Higgins after the Magpies had objected to the Drumgath match official’s appointment.
"I don't really do social media and none of my brothers really do so it wasn't really being chatted about thank God, there's enough going on at the house," Branagan told BBC NI.
The highly-rated defender is looking forward to renewing rivalries with Derrygonnelly – who Kilcoo defeated in the 2019 Ulster Club SFC semi-final and the 2021 Ulster Club SFC final – in Sunday’s preliminary round clash at Brewster Park.
"We're probably well used to each other at this stage," he continued.
"The first game was a real good battle and we probably were well prepared for the second one, so we know in the third one they will be probably be as well prepared as we were for the second game."
