Ray Larkin and Brian Finn were ratified as joint-managers of the Mayo senior hurlers on a two-year term at a county board meeting last night.

They take over from another joint-management team in Tom Phillips and Dave McConn, who stepped down after just one season in charge.

Kilnadeema/Leitrim clubman Larkin guided Tooreen to an All-Ireland Club IHC final apperance against Monaleen of Limerick earlier this year, while Finn was over the Mayo U20s for the past two years.

Another Galway native and former Sligo manager Pádraig Mannion will be part of the backroom team.
