Easkey captured their fourth consecutive Sligo senior hurling championship title this afternoon with a 0-22 to 1-15 win against Naomh Eoin at Markievicz Park.

Andy Kilcullen was in superb form for the holders with 0-15 over the hour as the west Sligo side delivered the goods in the second-half by coming back from five points down to win by four.

Brothers Tony and Gerard O’Kelly Lynch were on the scoresheet for Naomh Eoin as they led by 0-12 to 0-10 at the end of the first-half.

Robert O’Kelly Lynch smashed in a goal for his side early in the second-half before Kilcullen led the comeback for Easkey.

Tomas Cawley made it a one-point game ahead of Kilcullen’s point levelling it at 0-17 to 1-14 and he’d square the sides again after a Paul O’Brien point.

From there, the next five points sailed over Naomh Eoin’s crossbar as Easkey secured title number six.
