Cathal Dolan struck for 0-11 as Four Roads retained their Roscommon senior hurling championship title with a 0-26 to 2-12 victory over Athleague at Waldron Park.
The Mickey Cunniffe Cup holders were dominant early on, hitting nine points without reply in the opening 12 minutes as they moved towards a commanding 0-18 to 1-5 half-time lead.
Robbie Fallon registered Athleague’s goal 20 minutes in and he’d have another midway through the second-half but they’d prove only consolation.
Dolan, Micheál Kelly and Conor Mulry kept the scores coming for Four Roads as they won out by eight in the end to secure a 36th senior hurling crown.
TweetCongratulations to Four Roads who are the Kepak Group Senior Hurling Champions.
