The 2023 Down senior football championship commences this evening (Thursday) with Saul taking on Downpatrick at Darragh Cross (7pm).
Tomorrow evening sees Bredagh up against Clonduff in their opener in Downpatrick (7pm), while Ballyholland meet Loughisland in Castlewellan (7pm) and Saturday sees one game for decision between Mayobridge and Bryansford in Kilcoo (5.30pm).
Glenn and Saval clash on Sunday in Burren at 2pm, with Longstone meeting Castlewellan (4.30pm) and last year’s runners-up looking for a winning start against Burren at Pairc Esler (7pm).
Five-in-a-row chasing Kilcoo open their title defence against Carryduff on Monday at Pairc Esler, with throw-in scheduled for 7.30pm.
