Kilmurry-Ibrickane are into the last eight of the Clare senior football championship race thanks to a comfortable 3-11 to 0-7 win over Corofin in Lissycasey this afternoon.
Dermot Coughlan’s seven points and a Daniel Walsh goal helped the 2020 winners to lead by 1-8 to 0-3 against a Corofin side minus the services of injured county man Jamie Malone.
Josh Moloney fired in the would-be winners’ second goal after the turnaround before another from Walsh would help them on the way to a 13-point win and a place in the knock-out stages.
Elsewhere, Lisscasey got their senior championship campaign back on track last night (Friday) thanks to a 0-13 to 0-7 victory against Ennistymon.
