A handful of Limerick’s All-Ireland heroes will be back in action this evening (Friday) when Na Piarsaigh open their senior hurling championship defence against Patrickswell in Claughaun.
Less than two weeks from the Treaty men’s final triumph over Kilkenny at Croke Park, Peter Casey, Mike Casey and William O’Donoghue (Na Piarsaigh) and Cian Lynch, Aaron Gillane and Diarmaid Byrnes (Patrickswell) will be on opposite sides.
A repeat of the 2019 decider, the opening round clash is set to see the 2018, 2021, and 2022 Hurlers of Year all involved.
Throw-in at the Childers Road venue is at 7pm.
