Kerry manager Jack O’Connor has suffered a blow ahead of this weekend All-Ireland football final with news that attacker Tony Brosnan has been ruled out of the showdown with Dublin.

The Dr Crokes forward is said to be struggling with a recurrence of a respiratory condition and the Irish Examiner first reported this morning (Wednesday) that he is out of contention for Sunday’s huge clash at Croke Park.

The same lung problem resulted in Brosnan missing the closing stages of Crokes’ club championship campaign three seasons ago.

It’s understood that O’Connor will name his 26 matchday panel for Sunday’s final today and Brosnan, who came off the bench against Derry in the semi-final with 15 minutes to go, will not be an option for the Kingdom boss.
