This fortuitous goal helped Meath recover from a slow start in this afternoon’s Tailteann Cup final against Down.
The Mourne men had run up a 0-4 to 0-1 lead after 13 minutes at Croke Park but a goal from Ronan Jones (see it below), after Jack Flynn’s point effort had dropped off the post, brought Colm O’Rourke’s level before Jordan Morris shot them ahead with a point.
