One of the first club championships in the country gets underway this weekend.

The Kerry SHC commences on Friday with the Group B meeting of last year's beaten finalists Ballyduff and Ballyheigue in Austin Stack Park at 7.30pm. The big game of the weekend also takes place at the Tralee venue on Saturday at 7pm when the last two champions Causeway and Kilmoyley face off in Group C. That will be preceded by the clash of Dr Crokes – who are managed by Kerry football great Aidan O’Mahony – and Abbeydorney at 5pm.

Lixnaw (Group 1), Crotta O'Neill's (Group 2) and 2021 runners-up St Brendan's (Group C) have a bye in Round 1.
