After a cracking opening half-hour at the TUS Gaelic Ground, Mark Rodgers netted the first goal of the Munster senior hurling championship final for Clare against Limerick.
The home side had just levelled the game at 0-10 apiece when Rodgers pounced for this goal (see it below) in the 31st minute.
The Scariff clubman nearly found the net again minutes later but for a fine save from Nickie Quaid as the Banner men went in with a 1-11 to 0-11 lead at the half.
