Limerick's William O'Donoghue is set to miss Sunday's Allianz Hurling League Division 1 final against Kilkenny through suspension.

It comes after the Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) recommended a one-match ban for the midfielder following an incident involving Tipperary's Alan Tynan just before the throw-in to last Saturday week's semi-final at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.

The CCCC opted to review the incident and proposed the retrospective ban which Limerick aren't expected to contest.

Meanwhile, Carlow's Paud O'Dwyer has been appointed referee for the Páirc Uí Chaoimh showdown.
