Longford picked up their second Allianz Hurling League win by seeing off Lancashire on a 0-18 to 0-10 scoreline at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.
With just one win from their first three outings, the Exiles had started brightly by knocking over two of the first three points but Longford soon got into gear and it saw them towards a 0-11 to 0-5 half-time lead.
Lancashire went down to 14 men after 10 minutes of the second-half and that suited the Midlanders to kick on for the eight-point win which moves them joint top of the Division 3B table ahead of Cavan and Leitrim’s rescheduled encounter tomorrow afternoon at Kingspan Breffni.

TweetIt'll go to the final round for Lancashire next Saturday in Birmingham vs @warwickshireclg, a late flurry of Shane Madden points not enough for Liam Knocker's side vs Longford.
