Tipperary manager Liam Cahill will have to plan without Paddy Cadell for the rest of the season after the midfielder suffered a cruciate ligament injury against Kilkenny last weekend.

Cadell sustained the injury to his left knee during the opening five minutes at Nowlan Park last Sunday and, as a result, has played his last game for Tipp in 2023.

The Premier men also have lesser injury concerns over Cathal Barrett and Niall O’Meara.

Barrett is reported to be out for the remainder of the Allianz League after suffering a displaced fracture to the scapula during a collision with one of his team mates.

Meanwhile, a scan has revealed that the groin injury O’Meara picked up in training will leave him sidelined for another six to seven weeks before he can resume full training again.
