Dublin chalked up a first win in this year’s Allianz Hurling League campaign after holding off Antrim’s late rally to prevail by 0-28 to 2-19 at Parnell Park.

Micheál Donoghue’s men were held to a draw by Waterford in last weekend’s cracking opener but were able to claim both points on this occasion with 11 different scorers over the 70 minutes.

Ace attacker Donal Burke (0-10) led the way for the hosts as they got into their rhythm in the latter stages of the first-half to take in a 0-15 to 0-8 interval lead.

The leaders added four more points in-a-row after the turnaround but Antrim hit back with points from veteran Neil McManus and sub Niall O’Connor before Conor Johnston set-up Keelan Molloy for a superb goal (see below) on 51 minutes.

Three more Dublin points via Aidan Mellet, Burke and Conor Donohue in response would be wiped out by Molloy’s second major as the Glensmen kept the heat on until the finish, but they couldn't find the third goal they needed in injury-time as the capital men held out for the win.
