Tipperary recorded their first win at Nowlan Park since 2008 as they saw off Kilkenny by 2-24 to 1-21 to record their second win in Division 1 Group B of the Allianz Hurling League.
Jason Forde (1-15) and Jake Morris supplied the goals for Tipp late in the first-half as they built up a commanding 12-point lead by half-time.
Billy Drennan struck over three points to help get the deficit down to seven by the 55th minute and the Cats had a lifeline once Martin Keoghan slammed home their goal two minutes later.
Points from Noel McGrath and Forde (2) steadied Tipp’s ship though as Martin Kehoe’s free would cancel out another on from Drennan to see the margin at six come the final whistle.

Great work from Kilkenny keeper Aidan Tallis by saving Conor Bowe's shot at goal but Morris succeeds at the 2nd attempt!
