SETU Waterford are through to the semi-finals of the Fitzgibbon Cup after seeing off DCU by 3-16 to 2-16 yesterday evening in Glasnevin.
Waterford senior Reuben Halloran struck 0-8 over the hour while Padraig Fitzgerald, Gavin Fives and Alan Kirwan all struck goals to help see off the hosts.
Conor Kehoe came off the bench to net a late goal for DCU to narrow their deficit down to three before Ross Banville had a chance to square it from a last minute free but his shot flew wide.
This evening (Thursday) sees two other quarter-finals down for decision with University of Galway taking on SETU Carlow in Dangan (6pm) and holders UL facing UCC at UL (7.45pm).
