The draws for the 2023 Waterford hurling and football championships were made last night.
Nine-in-a-row senior hurling champions Ballygunner have been drawn in the same group (Group A) as Abbeyside and Passage. Group B of the SHC is Mount Sion, Fourmilewater and Tallow. Group C is Roanmore, Lismore and Clonea, while Group D consists of De La Salle, Dungarvan and Dunhill.
In the SFC, Ballinacourty, Kilrossanty and Clashmore/Kinsalebeg are in Group A. Rathgormack, The Nire, Stradbally and An Rinn are in Group B, while Gaultier, Brickey Rangers and Portlaw make up Group C.
The SHC throws in on the weekend of July 30, with the SFC not getting underway until the weekend of September 17.
