Donegal are expected to be without injured wing-back Ryan McHugh for the next couple of rounds of their Allianz League Division 1 campaign.

McHugh missed out on the Tir Chonaill men’s late victory over Kerry last Sunday which saw captain Paddy McBrearty landing the winning point late on in Ballybofey to deny the holders a share of the spoils.

Speaking to the media after his side’s opening win in the competition, Donegal boss Paddy Carr confirmed that it would be a few weeks before McHugh’s return to action but did not go into the details of the Kilcar man’s injury.

Next up for Carr’s charges is a derby date with Tyrone this Sunday in Omagh (2pm), where the Red Hands will be looking to bounce back from their opening round defeat to Roscommon.
