There were no winners or losers in this evening’s Allianz Football League Division 4 clashes as both games at Chadwicks Wexford Park and Netwatch Cullen Park finished all square.
Matthew Walsh’s goal in the fourth minute of injury-time secured a 1-9 to 1-9 draw for London against Wexford.
Sean Nolan’s goal had the Slaneysiders leading 1-6 to 0-5 after 46 minutes and they’d stretch the lead to six with points from Nolan and Cian Hughes heading into the closing quarter.
The Exiles stayed in touch though and got the margin cut down to three before Walsh struck to break the hosts’ hearts.
In Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow denied Wicklow victory with a late point that saw the final scoreline reading 2-10 apiece.
It was the visitors that had fired themselves into an early 1-1 to nothing lead in this derby before the Barrowsiders levelled things up.
There were goals traded before half-time and Wicklow went on to take in a 2-6 to 2-5 half-time lead but couldn’t hold on to their one-point advantage at the finish as Carlow took a share of the points with a free in the third minute of injury-time.
