Con O’Callaghan is set to make his first appearance for Dublin since last year’s Leinster SFC final when the capital men face Kildare at Croke Park today.
Dessie Farrell’s men start their Allianz League Division 2 campaign against the Lilywhites at 5pm, with some new faces like David O’Hanlon and Cian Murphy named in their starting 15.
Having missed the business end of last year’s championship, Cuala’s O’Callaghan is named on a full-forward line which includes Cormac Costello and Ciaran Kilkenny.
Brian Fenton and Tom Lahiff start at centre-field while Lorcan O’Dell is stationed on ‘the 40’ and David Byrne and John Small take up the central positions in defence at full-back and centre-back, respectively.
