Glen stars Conor Glass and Ethan Doherty have been named in Derry’s starting line-up for today’s Allianz Football League Division 2 opener against Limerick.
Earlier this week, Glen lodged an objection against the outcome of last Sunday’s All-Ireland club SFC final against Kilmacud Crokes after the latter had 16 players in the pitch in the closing stages at Croke Park.
RTE Sport reported last night that Crokes have now launched a counter objection to the Central Competition Controls Committee (CCCC), having had three days to respond to the Derry champions’ objection.
The Oak Leafers take on Limerick at 3pm in Owenbeg, where their manager Rory Gallagher has named All-Star Glass and Doherty to start at centre-field and left half-forward, respectively, with their clubmate Conleth McGuckian among the Ulster champions’ substitutes.
