Cavan’s senior footballers are set to be presented with their Ulster SFC medals nearly two years on from the team’s memorable final victory over Donegal.
November 22, 2020 saw Mickey Graham’s side tearing up the script by defeating the hotly-fancied Tir Chonaill men on a 1-13 to 0-12 scoreline at the Athletic Grounds and claiming their first Anglo-Celt Cup success in 23 long years.
Played in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Breffni men have had to wait until now to be presented with their medals. This evening (Sunday) a Presentation and Dinner Dance might takes place at the Hotel Kilmore which will see the players receiving their 2020 Ulster championship and 2022 Division 4 medals along with their runners up medals from the inaugural Tailteann Cup final which took place in July.
The event commences at 6.30pm with tickets priced at €50 each.
