Former Waterford star Dan Shanahan has joined the Laois senior hurling backroom team for the 2023 season.
New manager Willie Maher confirmed the news when speaking on the Our Game podcast yesterday, with Shanahan having been linked with the role for the past numbers of weeks.
Maher previously worked with Shanahan when he was a selector with Waterford in 2014 and the two men were also part of the management team in Bennettsbridge in past years.
It was confirmed last month that Tipperary man Maher would be succeeding Seamus ‘Cheddar’ Plunkett as the O’Moore County’s new hurling boss.
