Cargin kicked the last two points in extra time to progress through to the semi-finals of the Antrim senior football championship at Creggan's expense on Saturday evening.
It finished 0-13 to 0-12 after 80 airtight minutes at Dunsilly, where Tomás McCann proved the hero for the victors with a coolly taken point in extra time injury-time.
Cargin had built up a 0-5 to lead at the end of the first-half of this last eight clash before their opponents battled back in the third quarter and hit the front with 10 minutes to go.
The would-be winners levelled it up at 0-8 apiece before the full-time whistle and extra time would be nip and tuck the whole way, with Tiernan McAteer’s point giving the holders a 0-12 to 0-11 lead with two minutes to go.
John McNabb’s free levelled it on the 80-minute mark before county man McCann broke through and sent over the winner (see it below) with real composure to usher his side into the semi-finals.
