There was a frantic conclusion to Group A of the Monaghan SFC yesterday, with scoring difference needed to seperate four teams all on five points!
The clash in Páirc Mhuire produced some late drama as Francis Hughes scored a goal at the death to snatch a 1-11 apiece draw for Clontibret against holders Scotstown. That result, coupled with Donaghmoyne's 3-11 to 1-7 win over bottom-of-the-table Aughnamullen, means that the O'Neill's qualify directly for the semi-finals.

Clontibret were on the verge of going to a relegation play-off as the hosts scored four unanswered points to lead by three in injury-time.
Scotstown will have to settle for a place in the quarter-finals, alongside Ballybay, who received a bye in the last round, while Donaghmoyne are unfortunate to miss out.
Oisin McConville's Inniskeen Grattans claimed the other semi-final spot after overcoming Carrickmacross by 1-15 to 0-8.
Elsewhere, in Group B, Latton O'Rahilly's beat Truagh Gaels 1-7 to 0-4, both sides still progress to the last-eight.
