It’s a great time to be a Ballygunner supporter.
Crowned All-Ireland club hurling champions for the first time last February, the Gunners are now on the verge of creating more history by completing a clean sweep of county senior, intermediate and junior ‘A’ hurling titles next weekend.
On Saturday, their respective third and second strings face Colligan and Ballysaggart in an JHC ‘A’ and IHC final double-header at Fraher Field. Then on Sunday, their first team goes in search of a nine-in-a-row of SHC titles against city rivals Mount Sion at Walsh Park.
While some might say that their dominance isn’t good for Waterford hurling, you won’t hear anyone in Ballygunner complaining!
