Death of former Tipperary football captain

Donal O'Keeffe RIP.

The death has taken place of former Tipperary senior football captain Donal O’Keeffe.

Donal, who passed away peacefully at Wexford General Hospital on Friday following a road accident, won five Tipperary SFC medals with Clonmel Commercials between 1982 and 1994, captaining the county in 1990. He also represented Tipperary at minor and U21 level and was named South Tipperary Footballer of the Year in 1987. 

Donal later moved to Wexford where he became involved in St Martin's GAA. He is survived by his wife Karen, sons Donal and Bobby and daughter Aoife.
