Celbridge's battling qualities once again shone through at St Conleth's Park today as they qualified for their ninth Kildare SFC semi-final in as many seasons.
Johnstownbridge were beaten 1-9 to 0-8, with Fergal Conway's 8th minute goal crucial to the outcome.
Leading by 1-5 to 0-4 at the break, it took 14 minutes for the opening score of the second-half to arrive through a Paddy Brophy free for Celbridge.
They now await the winners of tomorrow's quarter-final clash between holders Naas and Sarsfields.
Meanwhile, Athy will face either Clane or Eadestown in the last four after last night's 3-18 to 1-12 win over Clogherinkoe.
