Niall Sheehan and Conor Fee scored goals either side of half-time as An Tóchar sent champions Blessington packing on a 2-13 to 0-14 scoreline in today's Wicklow SFC quarter-final opener at Aughrim.
Blessington made all the early running and raced into an early 0-3 to 0-5 lead but three unanswered points from James Cardiff, Darragh Fee and Conor Fee saw the Roundwood side hit the front for the first time before Sheehan's strike left the challengers 1-7 to 0-8 to the good at the break.
Wicklow U20 star Fee grabbed An Tóchar's second goal not long after the resumption to hand them a five-point cushion and it was a margin they maintained until the final whistle.
In the second part of a double-header, a brace of Tommy Kelly goals propelled 2019 champions St Patrick's to a comfortable 2-12 to 0-6 victory over Rathnew.
