Billy Lee has stepped down as Limerick senior football manager after six years in charge.
The news comes as a surprise after Lee guided Limerick to promotion from Division 3 of the Allianz League and to a first Munster SFC final appearance in 12 years in 2022.
The Treaty County also won the Allianz League Division 4 title and McGrath Cup on the Newcastle West man's watch.
In a statement issued this morning, Limerick GAA thanked Lee for his contribution to the role and also to his previous positions with the Football Academy.
