Mayo's Paul Towey was the star of the show in the Chicago SFC semi-final yesterday evening.
The 22-year-old scored a whopping 1-17 - 1-7 from play - for his adopted club McBrides in their 2-22 to 2-21 extra-time defeat to Parnells.
Tyrone All-Ireland winner Michael McKernan was given a torrid time by Towey, who helped himself to all bar 1-4 of his side's tally.
The Charlestown man had limited game-time for Mayo since making his senior championship debut under James Horan last year but whoever takes up the vacant manager's position will be hard pushed to look beyond him in this kind of form.
