Kerry's Stephen O'Brien showed superb workrate to block down Johnny Heaney and prevent would have been a dream start for Galway in today's All-Ireland SFC final at Croke Park.
John Daly sent a teasing ball through the middle for Heaney to run onto but wing-forward O'Brien got a hand in just as he was about to pull the trigger.
With Kerry misfiring in front of the posts and registering seven wides, Galway were the better team in the first-half and led narrowly at the break, 0-8 to 0-7.
